Members of the Mass Gathering Collaboration have been successful in obtaining competitive research funding to explore the clinical management of patients presenting with alcohol intoxication without other obvious injury or illness (uncomplicated acute alcohol intoxication) at an annual mass gathering event.
The mass gathering component of this research forms part of a larger project regarding the implementation of an evidence-based approach for the management of uncomplicated acute alcohol intoxication in the emergency healthcare environment: A knowledge translation project.
